Lauri Dishman, MA, LCPC
About
Lauri Dishman is a licensed clinical professional counselor with nearly 20 years of experience in mental health services. In that time, Ms. Dishman has developed specialities in the areas of emotional abuse, career development and adjustment counseling for adults who are blind or visually impaired.
For over a decade, Lauri served as Manager of Counseling Services at Second Sense (formerly Guild for the Blind) in Chicago where she developed and managed the Counseling Center. She also served for 8 years as adjunct professor at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and was active with the Illinois Counseling Association and Illinois Career Development Association.
Lauri earned a Master’s degree in Counseling and Organizational Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Telecommunication (Broadcasting) from the University of Florida.
